Coffee to go By: Charity Miller It’s eight o’ clock on this rainy day But I’m too tired to wake up and start on my way. Now what I need is a cup of hot coffee, With two cubes of sugar and perhaps a sweet toffee. Oh if time was only nice enough to stop. So I could at least enjoy a savoring drop Of delicious coffee in my mug. Then maybe I wouldn’t be such a grumpy bug! The pot is empty the filter is clean. Up in the cupboard is the sugar and cream. My cup is sitting in the drying rack And the coffee grounds are still nicely packed. Now any flavor of coffee will do Just as long as it’s good enough to brew! I’m desperate enough to just drink it black Because of how much patients I lack And on the side it would come with a crumpet or cake All I want is a cup of coffee for goodness sake! Deliciously titillating would be a cup of jo. Would it be nice to have coffee to go?
---ok its silly... but that is how I feel in the morning... lol. I placed this poem in the Dutch Brothers shop in town---

Diamond By: Charity Miller Small and thin as a willow wand Someone I have grown to fawned. Her eyes as blue as diamond jewels; Give her no warning you’d be the fools! Her claws and teeth will leave a mark, She will hunt you like a creature in the dark. But do not worry she is very sweet If you give her fish to eat.
Her enemies are only two which bother They are dogs and any sort of water. Now I know you understand who I speak of, For she is my cat and the one I love. Diamond is she, my pet and dear friend. She helps my hurt and worried end But do not fear she is very sweet, Just as long as you give her a small treat!
--In loving memories to my Siamese cat Diamond, she lived for 17 years until all nine lives were up.--

Love Ballad By C. L. Miller
Locks of curly light brown hair Stood the lady of so fair. She was bathed underneath the moon, Near the water, where the golden lilies bloom. O! What a song she sand for me The sonorous tune was light and free! It lifted up into the sky Along with the wind as it fluttered by
Delicate did our hands softly meet For we knew out love was true and sweet. But a marriage for us was forbidden So we wed in secret, keeping our cows well hidden. And we would frolic into the night Forgetting about the morning light Our love was strong until one day, The lord had taken my maiden away.
So alone I walk down dreary lanes Lost to the world as I pass over hill and planes. How empty and helpless I feel in this place. All I can think of is my loves radiance and grace. And still her smile marks my heart For her spirit still lingers, we will never part. With this thought still in my mind I will always love my maiden who was true and kind.
-ok I rushed it... *coughs*
