My name is Yamauchi Chiyo. If the name is somewhat familiar to you, then you are rather keen on your history. I was married to a well-known samurai named Yamauchi Kazutoyo in the late sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries. He was quite the warrior in my eyes. I bore a daughter for him named Yone, but she sadly died in the Nagahara earthquake in 1596. We also adopted a son named Hiroi, who became a priest. Enough of that. I'm sure you want to know how I still walk the Earth after four centuries. After the birth of Yone, my husband was on his way out to battle. Fearing that he would die, I committed seppuku and nearly died until I was reborn by a man who turned me into a blood sucker.
